A Win+V alternative that's also on your phone
Your clipboard history in the cloud, on your PC, Mac and phone. Free.
Windows clipboard history is handy, but it keeps 25 items, forgets them when you restart and stays on Windows. Colurus is a clipboard history in the cloud: paste texts, screenshots and links once, and copy them back on your PC, your Mac or your phone.

When Win+V is enough, and when it isn't
If you work on one Windows PC and only need what you copied in the last few minutes, Win+V is already there. It saves every Ctrl + C on its own and works offline. Keep using it.
It falls short when you move things between your phone and your computer, also use a Mac or a work PC, or want a screenshot from last week. Colurus keeps what you paste in the cloud until you delete it, and you can use both: Win+V for the last few minutes, Colurus for what you want to keep.
How to use Colurus as your clipboard history
Open Colurus and sign in
Sign in with Google at colurus.com and keep it open in a browser tab. On your phone, open the same page and sign in with the same account.
Paste what you want to keep
Copy as usual. When something is worth keeping, press Ctrl + V (Cmd + V on a Mac) in Colurus, or tap Paste on your phone. Win+V keeps working at the same time.
Copy it back anywhere
Open Colurus on the other device and copy it with one click or tap. Images copy back as PNG, and text keeps its bold, lists and links.
Questions
How do I open clipboard history in Windows?+
Press the Windows logo key + V. The first time, Windows asks you to turn it on; you can also do it in Start > Settings > System > Clipboard. It shows your last 25 copies, and clicking one pastes it.
Why does Win+V forget everything when I restart?+
That's how Windows works: clipboard history is cleared each time you restart your PC, except the items you pinned. Pin what you use every day, or keep it in Colurus, where nothing is erased until you delete it.
Can I see my Windows clipboard on my phone?+
Only on Android, and with limits. The SwiftKey keyboard syncs the last text you copied, for one hour, with a personal Microsoft account. Phone Link copies text and images on some Samsung, HONOR, OPPO, ASUS, vivo and Xiaomi phones. There's no way to do it on an iPhone. Colurus is a web page, so it opens on any phone with a browser.
Does Colurus save everything I copy on its own?+
No. Colurus saves what you paste into it, with Ctrl + V or the Paste button, so passwords and throwaway copies only go in if you paste them. If you want every copy saved without thinking, Win+V does that on Windows, and you can use both.
Can I move my Win+V history into Colurus?+
Yes, one item at a time: open Colurus, press Win+V and click an item, and it's pasted into Colurus. Do it with the ones you want to keep before you restart.
Is Colurus free?+
Yes. Free forever with 200 saved items, 2 boards and AI on 10 images a day. Pro is $6 a month or $60 a year for no limits. Nothing is deleted if you go over a limit. You sign in with Google.
Does it work on a Mac or Linux?+
Yes, in the browser. Win+V only exists on Windows; on a Mac you use Colurus the same way, with Cmd + V.
Who can see what I save?+
Only you: what you save stays private in your account. Someone else sees a board only if you share it as a public link, and those links aren't shown on Google.
